Lincoln University welcomes students choosing to continue their education with us. The admissions process for transfer students is designed to support you, address your unique needs and provide you with a seamless transition experience.
Apply as a transfer if you are a high school graduate or GED recipient who has registered or enrolled at a college, university, or any other school after graduating from high school.
Apply online using the Lincoln admissions application. There is no cost to apply and you need to submit only one application to be considered for admission. Be sure to review the information listed on the application for accuracy. Transfer applicants are required to list all formerly attended postsecondary institutions on the application.
Transfer applicants should request that an official final high school transcript or GED and official college transcript from all postsecondary institutions attended be sent to Lincoln University’s Office of Admissions.

Transfer applicants must submit a Transfer Certification Form from all postsecondary institutions attended. The top portion of the form must be completed by the applicant and submitted to the Dean of Students or applicable administrator. The signed form should be sent directly to Lincoln University’s Office of Admissions from the previously attended institution.
Note: Transfer applicants must be in good standing at all previously attended institutions to be admitted to Lincoln University. Students that were enrolled in an exclusively online program may have the transfer certification form waived.
Transfer applicants with less than 12 transferable credits should request to have official ACT or SAT scores sent directly to Lincoln. Alternatively, applicants can upload an unofficial pdf copy of the standardized test scores directly through their Lincoln application portal. Unofficial scores must include the students name, address and date of birth.
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) Code: 2367
American College Test (ACT) Code: 3614
Note: Although application materials can be submitted to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions via postal mail or fax, we encourage and prefer the electronic submission of required documents.
We understand applicants will be eager to know if they’ve been accepted, but don’t worry if you don’t hear right away. It can take up to 3-5 business days during our peak season (October – February) for processing supplemental documents. To view any missing supplemental items and to review an admission status, please access your Lincoln application portal. Once these steps have been completed, an admissions representative will review the application and a decision letter will be available for review in the application portal. Applicants will receive an email when a decision is rendered.
Note: Students with prior attempted college credit who are offered admission typically receive a Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE) within 14 business days of the offer. The TCE will indicate how attempted coursework (with final grades) from other institutions will transfer to Lincoln University. Coursework in-progress will be evaluated for transfer credit when an official transcript with final grades is received. At that time, an updated TCE will be delivered from the Office of the Registrar.
You can schedule a virtual appointment with your admissions counselor if you have any questions about navigating the admissions process.
